Uttam Pradhan and Niruta Singh Reunite After 20 Years in Mahadasha
Nepali cinema lovers are in for a treat! The iconic on-screen pair from the evergreen classic movie Darpan Chhaya (2001), Uttam Pradhan and Niruta Singh are reuniting after two decades in a brand-new movie titled Mahadasha. The film will be directed by Kiran Nepali, who previously worked on projects like Duinambari and Hattichhap, and is now making his directorial debut with Mahadasha.
A Reunion After Two decades
The last time Uttam and Niruta shared the screen was in Upahar (2003). Since then, fans have eagerly awaited their reunion, and Mahadasha is finally making it possible.
- Uttam Pradhan recently made his comeback after 13 years through Kiran Nepali’s film Kalli.
- Niruta Singh returned to the silver screen after 6 years with 36 Ko Aankhada.
This film will bring them together as an on-screen couple once again, reigniting the nostalgia of their timeless chemistry.

Director Kiran Nepali shared his excitement on social media, posting photos with Uttam and Niruta. He expressed that films like Darpan Chhaya inspired him to enter cinema, and now working with the same stars in his own directorial project is a dream come true.
“It feels special to direct the actors who inspired me. We will definitely make Mahadasha a beautiful film,” Kiran wrote.
