Kedar Ghimire (Magne Budha) Donates Rs. 25,000 to Film Journalists’ Welfare Funds
Renowned comedian and actor Kedar Ghimire, popularly known as Magne Budha, has donated Rs. 25,000 to the Film Journalist’s Welfare Fund operated by the Film Journalists Association Nepal.
The association has been running the fund to support journalists in need, particularly for medical treatment and during emergencies. As part of the association’s ongoing Welfare Fund Campaign, Ghimire handed over the donation to the association’s representatives on Sunday.
While presenting the donation, Ghimire said he often allocates a portion of his earnings for social causes. “Journalists are the bridge that connects our creations to the audience. Supporting them is also our responsibility” he said.
Known as one of Nepal’s highest-paid actors, Ghimire expressed pride in contributing to socially beneficial causes as part of his social responsibility.
Samir Balami, the central president of the Film Journalists Association Nepal, thanked Ghimire for his contribution, stating that the support would help strengthen and expand the welfare fund.
According to the association, the fund has so far provided direct assistance to nearly two dozen journalists for their medical treatment.
