Nepali Movie ‘Man Binako Dhan’ Crosses NPR 2 Crore | Two Housefull Shows in Qatar

The Nepali film Man Binako Dhan, based on the life story of popular young singer Ashok Darji, is performing strongly at the domestic box office. The film collected NPR 1 crore 67 lakh in its first week and, as of 8 AM on Saturday, has crossed the NPR 2 crore mark.

Despite facing tough competition with Paran and Jari 2, and receiving fewer show, the film’s earnings have been considered impressive.

Even in its second Saturday, the film continues to attract strong audience support nationwide. According to distributors, the film recorded around 70% occupancy across Nepal. Multiple shows in major cities including Kathmandu, Bharatpur, and Nepalgunj were housefull from early morning. Due to overwhelmingly positive audience feedback, many cinema halls have increased the number of daily shows.

Out of Nepal, Man Binako Dhan has also performed successfully in Qatar, UAE, and Bahrain. In Qatar, both Thursday and Friday screenings were completely sold out, making it the first Nepali film to achieve two housefull shows in Qatar, as claimed by distributor Sathibhai Entertainment. The film has registered strong business in the UAE and Bahrain as well.

Promoted with the tagline From Zero to Hero, the movie features a star-studded cast including Ashok Darji, Santosh Pant, Rama Thapaliya, Saroj Khanal, Neeta Dhungana, Ramesh Bishwakarma, Bhola Sapkota, Buddhi Tamang, Rabindra Jha, Utsav Sapkota, AR Budhathoki, Shankar Shrestha, Samragyee Thapa, and Bina Raut. Renowned music composer Tank Budhathoki has directed the film.
