A Blockbuster Nepali Movie ‘Oon Ko Sweater’ Set to Release in Indian Theaters

This year’s first Nepali blockbuster, Oon Ko Sweater, is now set to release in India. According to a press statement from the production house Artmandu, the film will officially hit Indian theaters on November 21 (Mangsir 5). The movie has already received clearance from the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) of India, and a special premiere is scheduled for November 20 in Sikkim.

Director Nabin Chouhan confirmed that the film will initially be screened in major cities with significant Nepali-speaking populations, including Delhi, Darjeeling, Siliguri, Gangtok, Kurseong, Kalimpong, and Assam. The movie will be showcased in renowned Indian multiplex chains such as PVR and INOX, he added.

Based on an inter-caste love story, Oon Ko Sweater features performances from Bipin Karki, Miruna Magar, Alex Paras, Parkhisha Limbu, Wilson Bikram Rai, and Sunil Pokharel. The cinematography is handled by Chintan Raj Bhandari, while the soundtrack includes music by Sujan Chapagain and Kovid Bajra.

Songs from the film, including Phoolharu Muskauchhan, Makhamali, Kafle, and Chainejo Zindaganima, have already gained significant popularity among audiences.
