An Upcoming Nepali Movie ‘Jhari pachhi ko Indreni’ Release on Poush 4
The debut directorial film of popular comedian Arjun Ghimire (Padey), titled ‘Jhari pachhi ko Indreni‘, is set to hit theaters on Poush 4. The release date was revealed in a countdown poster for the film’s song release, made public by the production team on Thursday. The timing appears to target the Christmas holiday on Poush 10.
The film’s first song, Fasayo Lamile, will be released this Saturday. Sung by Sajima Odikari and Basanta Thapa, with lyrics and music by Ramesh Pariyar, the music video features performances by Deepa Shree Niraula, Anjali Adhikari, and Pradeep Lama. All songs from the film will be released through Kathmandu Metropolitan Mayor and rapper Balen Shah’s YouTube channel.
Produced by Anisha Sendang Limbu, the film stars Deepa Shree Niraula, Ganesh Upreti, Ramesh Upreti, Prakash Ghimire, Sarita Giri, Nirmal Sharma, Deshbhakta Khanal, Vimochan Dwadi, Jesika Pokharel, Krishna Sibakoti, Krishnabhakta Maharjan, Arjun Ghimire, Priyana Acharya, among others. The film also marks Ganesh Upreti’s return to acting after nine years.
Co-produced by Anu Thapa, Pankaj Khadka, and Ram Karki, the film is based on a story written by director Ghimire himself, with Ganesh Karki and Bishal Ghimire contributing to the screenplay and dialogue. The film features background score by Roman Bajracharya, editing by Mitra D. Gurung, and choreography by Mausam Himali. The rights for the film’s Australia screening have already been sold.
