An Upcoming Love Story Nepali Movie ‘Kumari’ Completes Filming | Release Date?

The shooting of the love story film Kumari, directed by Dinesh Raut, has officially been completed. The production, which began on Bhadra 17, wrapped up filming on Friday. Earlier, the shoot was halted for one week due to the Gen-Z protests on Bhadra 23 and 24. With filming now complete, the movie entered the post-production phase starting Sunday.

Although the production team has not yet announced the release date, they stated that the premiere date will be finalized soon after reviewing the progress of post-production work. The film is produced by Mahendra Adhikari, who previously collaborated with actor Pradeep Khadka on the film Prakash, also directed by Raut.

One of the major highlights surrounding Kumari is the song Kata Chhau Mero Phool, performed by singer Keher Singh Limbu and his band during the film’s announcement event. The track has already gained significant popularity among audiences. Limbu, currently on a nationwide concert tour, has been performing the song live as well. The music video has surpassed 700,000 views on YouTube, while TikTok users have created more than 100,000 videos using the audio. The viral success of the song has further boosted anticipation for the film.

Kumari features Abhishek Khadka and Aakriti Rajbhandari in the lead roles, marking model Aakriti’s debut in films. The cast also includes Ghanshyam Joshi, Sunita Shrestha, Akanksha Karki, Madhu Khadka, Sanam Shrestha, Saku Shah, Saroj Lamichhane, and Manisha Sharma, among others. The film is written by Bikash Subedi, with cinematography by Susan Prajapati.
