Bijay Baral signs New Project ‘Zero Degree’

After the success of debut directorial venture Behuli From Meghauli, directors Sajan Kafle and Aakash Baral are set to return with their second feature film titled Zero Degree. The film will star the versatile Nepali actor Bijay Baral in the lead role.

The team officially announced the project on Monday by releasing a minimal poster designed by Royal Bhimsen of Trident Concept. The poster depicts a deep freezer being carried across a river on wooden support, surrounded by lush green hills, and hints at the film’s rural and remote setting.

Storyline and Concept

According to director Sajan Kafle, Zero Degree revolves around a powerful yet emotional storyline set in a village without proper road access. When the parents of the village family pass away, their children living abroad can not arrive in time for the funeral. To preserve the bodies until their arrival, the villagers bring a deep freezer from the city to the remote village, which triggers a series of dramatic yet light-hearted events.

The narrative promises to balance emotional depth and light comedy, offering audiences a refreshing take on village life, challenges, and cultural values.
